Liberals Position for Christmas Mask Mandates

Hot cocoa, fragrant evergreens, and cozy fireplaces — these are staples for most of us who are gearing up for winter. Meanwhile, liberals are using the season to put a “freeze” on freedom by pushing the return of mask mandates in certain parts of the country.

Los Angeles County is one of these spots. (Surprise, surprise.)

County public health director Barbara Ferrer said that if the county reaches 10 hospital admissions per 100,000 residents and 10 percent of hospital beds are occupied by a person with COVID, masks will be made mandatory indoors, as per county policy.

With the first threshold having already been surpassed, the percentage of hospitals taken up by COVID patients has not even reached 6 percent. This indicates, as even Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky predicted would happen, that the coronavirus has become like the flu — something we expect to come and go.

Despite the notion that coronavirus will likely be just another flu, we’ve been told to not get too excited. Masks may make a comeback.

"I would say put your masks in a drawer, anticipate you may need them again and hope that we don't," Walensky said. "Maybe during respiratory season, if things ramped up, we would want to put on our masks again to protect both from flu and from Covid and from all other respiratory diseases."

Dr. Walensky is not the only medical professional to suggest the reintroduction of coronavirus protocols, including the continued promotion of vaccination and boosting.

Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, once again pushed vaccination and boosters from the White House press briefing room in November.

“We know it’s safe.  We know that it is effective,” he said.

“So, my message and my final message — may be the final message I give you from this podium — is that: Please, for your own safety, for that of your family, get your updated COVID-19 shot as soon as you’re eligible to protect yourself, your family, and your community.”

Well, at least he’s not telling us to uninvite our unvaccinated friends and family from Christmas gatherings this year, as he did last year, right?

The medical elite in the country enjoy touting the vaccine’s safety and effectiveness, but they rarely mention the possible side-effects of the mRNA-based vaccines, including myocarditis.

Along with the continued push of masking and vaxxing and possible comeback of mandates starting in L.A., there’s another sinister indication of what may be around the corner.

A report commissioned by the Department of Health and Human Services, HHS, includes a recommendation to “mandate policies and protocols regarding masking and social distancing” to protect Americans from Long Covid, the symptoms some are left with even after recovering from the virus.

Despite the long list of signals that masking and vaxxing aren’t over, here’s the kicker: Americans don’t care.

Over half of Americans claim to be back to their pre-pandemic lifestyle, and an even larger majority say they don’t mask-up when leaving their homes anymore, according to an Axios-Ipsos poll

The poll also shows the distrust in the federal government’s dissemination of information regarding the virus – 71 percent of Republicans and 46 percent of Independents believe public health officials lied about how effective masks and vaccines were.

Los Angeles may be expecting another round of mandates this winter. But as much as the “public health officials” would like to be scrooges this winter, getting to reinstate pandemic protocols at their go-ahead, Americans are saying no. How’s that for a Christmas miracle?
